What Soter captures — and what it doesn't
Soter uses a camera, microphone, speaker and screen at the door. Cloud and AI services process information during visits.
Raw audio and video recordings are not saved. Still images, text summaries and visitor logs are kept, with retention under the user's control.
Collected data is stored securely and never sold or used to train third-party AI.
Who sees what
Visit information is kept within the household’s Soter account. Access is controlled through roles and permissions, which determine what occupants, trusted contacts, and other authorised users can see and manage.
Reservation information
When you submit a Soter reservation form, Intermentis keeps the contact and reservation details needed to process the reservation and follow up, including if Stripe payment is not completed. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe and are never collected or stored by Intermentis.
Important limitations
Soter is not an emergency-response service and does not guarantee safety or that a visitor is who they claim to be or can be trusted. Soter uses artificial intelligence and other technology that can make mistakes, misunderstand information, provide an inaccurate description, or occasionally be unavailable.
Soter is designed to assist household decisions, not replace personal judgement or normal safety and emergency arrangements. Its outputs should not be treated as proof of a visitor’s identity or intentions. Further limitations, including limits on Intermentis’s liability where permitted by law, will be set out in our terms of use.
Your rights
You can ask what information is held about you and request that it be corrected or deleted. These rights form part of the approach established in the pilot; the full commercial policy will be published before launch.
