About us
Intermentis grew out of the recognition that many people struggle with their doorstep.
Initially our focus was on older people living independently, but as we investigated this area it became clear that dealing with the doorstep is a broader problem.
The key challenges are uncertainty regarding visitors, which can lead to fear of scams and anxiety; physically being able to reach the door, which can result in missed visitors and lost autonomy; and missed deliveries, which can create gaps in essential services and cause stress for family and carers.
The team
Between us we've shipped products before, but this one is personal. We test Soter at our own families' doors.
Benoit Auvray
Benoit has more than 25 years of experience in statistics, machine learning and applied AI. He has co-founded and helped grow several technology ventures, combining technical leadership with experience in strategy, commercialisation and governance.
Greg Peyroux
With over 20 years as an ICT leader, manager and strategist, Greg helps turn the latest technology into real-life solutions for his clients. Greg has worked in a wide range of sectors across Government and private companies and has designed and implemented IT solutions for everything from financial and employee systems to data management and information security.
Fraser Stephens
An Electronic Engineer, with a PhD in medical systems, Fraser worked in a diverse range of industries including interactive elearning, animation production and multi-agency humanitarian supply chain systems with clients such as the BBC, MSF and Oxfam GB. He has been a project management contractor in the government, NGO and private sectors.
Intermentis is based in Ōtepoti Dunedin in the South Island of Aotearoa New Zealand.
